LeagueApps Play has a new design. Update the app in the App Store or Google Play Store to get it. Here's what changed and where things moved.
A new look
We refreshed the look of the app to put what families need to manage their sports day to day, like upcoming events, messages, and payments, front and center. Tap your profile picture or initials in the top right corner to open My Account.
New tab order
The tabs at the bottom are now Home, Messages, Teams, and Calendar. The Message tab is now called Messages. The Home tab icon is the LeagueApps logo.
Home shows what needs you today
Each section appears only when it has something in it:
- Payment due at the top when you owe a payment.
- Up next shows your next games and practices: today's, or the next day that has events. Tap See all for your full schedule.
- Announcements shows up to three current announcements from your organization.
- Messages shows your three most recent unread chats and coach notes. Tap one to open it.
- Sign up now, at the bottom, takes you to programs from your organization that are open for registration.
The Last Game card is gone. You can still find scores in your team's schedule and standings.
Announcements are easier to find
- Current announcements appear on Home and at the top of Messages, with the one expiring soonest first.
- Tap See all to see every current announcement. Unread ones have a dot.
- Each announcement has an expiration date set by your organization. After that date, it no longer appears in the app.
- Announcements no longer count toward your unread chat messages.
A cleaner Messages tab
- Messages are grouped into Announcements, Team chats, and Direct messages. Coach notes are under Direct messages.
- Message bubbles have a new look. When you scroll up in a long chat, a button takes you back to the latest message.
- You can no longer swipe to delete a conversation. You can still delete a message you sent: press and hold it, then tap Delete.
Clearer notifications
Notifications now look like text messages. You'll see the sender's name and photo (or initials), the team name for team chats and coach notes, and the message itself. Photo messages include the photo. Tap a notification to go straight to the chat.
Announcement notifications show your organization's name, then the announcement.
What stayed the same
- You sign in with the same email and password. Face ID and fingerprint sign-in work the same way.
- Your teams, schedules, rosters, RSVPs, and payments work the same way.
