Follow Tournament Teams in LeagueApps Play

Tournament organizers can now make their schedules publicly accessible through the the LeagueApps Play mobile app. This allows parents, coaches, extended family, and recruiters to easily find schedules and follow teams of interest—without needing an account or logging in. They will be able to see team details, schedules, and standings; as well as receive push notifications for any game changes.

Logged-in members and admins are also able to follow public tournament teams by clicking the trophy icon in top right of the Teams tab.

Program Preferences

To enable public access to tournament schedules, first go to your desired tournament program(s), and under Settings, select Preferences:

  1. Ensure the Schedules option is enabled and set to be viewable by "Everyone."
  2. Enable the checkbox for Allow the Public to find this tournament.

Create & Publish Tournament Schedules

Additionally, your tournament schedules must be created and published for team followers to receive notifications on game changes. Once that is complete, members and admins can easily discover, view, and follow tournament teams' schedules directly from the Play app.

Follow Public Tournament Teams

Parents, coaches, extended family, recruiters, fans, etc. who aren't logged in can start their tournament search by tapping the Find Tournaments button on the LeagueApps Play login screen.

If you are logged into the LeagueApps Play app, you will be able to find and follow teams in public tournaments run through LeagueApps by clicking the trophy icon in the top right of the Teams tab. This is available for members and admins.

     

From the tournament dashboard, you will have the option to Search by Tournament or Enter Team Code.

 

Search by Tournament Name

1. Searching by tournament name will search by the tournaments name and/or the organization's name, also known as the site name. 

 

2. Once you select a Tournament, you can browse the Divisions and Pools to find your team. 

   

 

3. Then, click the bell icon next to the team name to subscribe and follow. Once you subscribe to a team, the team will be visible on your tournament dashboard so you can return to the team and easily view its details and schedule if published). You will also get push notifications if there is a change to that team's public schedule. Members are able to subscribe to multiple tournament teams.

   

 

4. Clicking on the team name will allow you to view that team's games, locations and directions, standings, and schedule (if published).

 

Search by Team Code

The Team Code can be found on the tournament team schedule when viewing it from the website. Members can share this code with others to allow them to shorten the search process, automatically jump to their team to subscribe to notifications.
