Player Reports allows you to create custom Player Report Templates that coaches use to evaluate players via the LeagueApps Play mobile app. Player Reports can be shared with parents/guardians when the coach is ready—they are private by default. This feature provides your organization a powerful tool to share feedback with families throughout the season.
How it works:
Admins create Player Report Templates (reusable across teams/seasons)
Coaches generate individual Player Reports from templates in the LeagueApps Play mobile app
Coaches share completed Player Reports with families via email or the Play app
Publishing = making a template available for coaches to use
Sharing = making an individual Player Report visible to a family

Creating and Managing Templates
Step 1: Create a template
Templates must be created by a LeagueApps administrator with the access of Site Admin or higher.
- To begin, log in to your management console then go to Manage and Player Reports.
- If this is your first template, click the Design your first player report template button. If you already have templates created, click Templates in the top, left-hand corner then click the Create a template button.
- Once in the template builder, complete the following items:
- Template Name
- Description
- Rating Scale (all Player Report Attributes must have the same Rating Scale)
Step 2: Add Player Report Attributes
Next you'll need to add attributes, which are the criteria that players will be evaluated, such as speed or agility. Attribute titles and descriptions will be visible to athletes, families, and coaches. Use this field to give context on how this attribute is being evaluated.
Click the Add an attribute button at the bottom to add your first item.
| ⚡️ Attributes can be added, deleted, or changed until a Player Report has been completed using the template. Once there are completed reports for a template, attributes cannot be adjusted. |
Tools to manage Player Report Attributes:
- Reorder attributes by clicking the dots on the left to drag and drop.
- Delete attributes by clicking the trash can icon on the right.
- Change the Rating Scale for all attributes by choosing an option from the drop-down at the top of the list of attributes.
Step 3: Save, Publish and Share
Whether you're finished with your template or not, you can save your progress by clicking Save a Draft at the bottom of the page.
If you're satisfied with your template and ready for it to be used, click Publish Player Report at the bottom of the page.
Lastly, in order for coaches to be able to share completed Player Reports with parents & players, the final setting must be enabled.
Managing Templates
You can manage templates from the Player Reports page. From there you can perform these actions:
- Create a template
- Edit a template
- Publish a template
- Unpublish a template
- Reorder columns
- Arrange rows by ascending or descending
Creating and Sharing Player Reports via LeagueApps Play
Once you have created and published a Player Report Template, your coaches can then create Player Reports for rostered players via the LeagueApps Play mobile app.
Prerequisites
There are important prerequisites that must be completed in order for a coach to be able to create reports and parents to be able to view them:
- Published Player Report Template: A Player Report Template must be created and published.
- Only rostered participants: Coaches and players must be on a team/roster in LeagueApps. This feature is not available to free agent/individual registrations.
- Staff permissions: Coaches must have the permission to evaluate players. This can be set by an administrator by going to Settings then Staff Roles.
- Roster visibility: Rosters must be shared with team participants. Check the program's preferences.
- Mobile App: Player Reports can only be created and shared via the LeagueApps Play mobile app on iOS or Android.
| ⚡️ If you are logged into the app but not seeing your team or Player Reports and all of the above prerequisites have been met, you may be logging in with the wrong email address. Speak with the team organizers to see if you have a duplicate account. |
