Customizing Registration Forms

Last Updated: Aug 29, 2011 01:58PM EDT
Each player must fill out an online registration form to join a program.  LeagueApps allows you to customize the online registration forms you collect from your players.

Default Registration Fields

Create a default registration form that can apply to all of your program registrations.

CAUTION: If you change your default settings, it will only affect new programs. Programs that have already been created will have to be updated manually.

Edit default registration form fields under "Settings > Edit Default Registration Fields".

Create additional Form Fields for new players to complete:
  1. Add a Field Name
  2. Select the Field Type
  3. Select if this field must be required/optional to complete the account process.
  4. Click Add Property button to add the field to your default registration form

Edit existing form fields in the following ways:
  • Switch the Order of a field by changing its number in the order column. Click Update Order button to apply changes.
  • Edit or Delete items. This applies only to fields that have a dropdown list. Save any changes made.
  • Specify which Registration Types each custom field should include. Check box under Team Captain, Team Player, or Free Agent to indicate what type of player will fill out each particular field during registration. (i.e. Check ‘Team Captain’ to ensure that a specific field shows up only when a team captain registers.)
  • Click the pencil icon under Actions column to change the label of a field. (You can also change the field from Required/Optional). Click Update when finished.

Program-Specific Registration Fields

It is possible to create registration forms for specific programs. This applies to any program in which you don’t want the default form field settings to apply.

Edit form fields of a program:

  1. Click Manage in the main icon navigation bar.
  2. Click an existing program
Follow the steps in the previous section to create additional form fields & edit existing form fields
