Using a Custom Domain Name

Last Updated: Aug 29, 2011 01:29PM EDT
Each new LeagueApps account includes a default URL.  During the account creation process a site name must be entered so that LeagueApps can create an URL (ex. http://sample.leagueapps.com).

In addition to this default URL, your LeagueApps website URL can be customized by using a domain that you already own.  You can purchase a domain name from a registrar like GoDaddy.

Before setting a custom domain, it’s necessary to edit the A-record on the domain’s DNS by pointing it to 12.180.54.13.  Contact your registrar for specific instructions on how to edit the A-record.  Note that DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to go live.

Once you've done this, follow the below steps to activate this domain in your LeagueApps site:

  1. Select Settings on the main icon navigation bar
  2. Choose Set A Custom Domain
  3. Enter your Domain Name

Each site within your account can have it’s own domain name.
